There are days I feel I have so much energy that I could run in circles and I get so many things accomplished. Then there are days where I just want to curl up in a ball and do nothing. Granted, some of those days are just when I’m feeling writer’s block or boredom, but mostly it’s because I’m tired and worn out. I am a career woman, a mother, a partner, a friend, a sister, a mentor, and a blogger. All of these different roles take a toll on me. There are days that I just want 48 hours in the day because I can’t feel like I can get everything done, and that’s when I have to prioritize or take an extra shot of caffeine somehow. This is where Emergen-C® Energy+ comes into play. It’s energy customizable to support your needs. Adults can take one or two packets at a time.* This is a godsend for me in the evenings when I need to fortify my energy levels in order to get my blog post finished for all of you, my amazing readers.
I know that I’m not the only one who suffers from a lack of energy due to all different types of reasons; therefore, I decided to share the top 7 ways I felt you can support your energy levels and increase your productivity.
7 WAYS TO SUPPORT YOUR ENERGY LEVELS & INCREASE YOUR PRODUCTIVITY
-
Eat Healthy
One of the best ways to support your energy levels is to make sure you are eating healthy foods. You need to eat enough complex carbs and protein so that they break down slowly and sustain your body for hours at a time. Also, eating fruits rich in antioxidants and vegetables as a snack will make sure that you get healthy calories to keep you awake, instead of unhealthy sweets, which will only make you more tired. Try to eat balanced meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Then have two snacks between that consist of fruits, vegetables, or nuts. Eating at least every four hours will make sure that you are fortifying your energy levels.
-
Drink More Water
This one is really hard for me, but I put an app on my phone that keeps track of how much water I am drinking and gives me reminders. Dehydration is one of the top reasons you may feel fatigued throughout the day. While you don’t have to follow the age old 8 glasses a day rule, make sure you are drinking enough water to stay hydrated.
-
Exercise
Sometimes you don’t feel like exercising because you are so tired, but did you know that moderate exercise will actually get your blood pumping and increase your energy levels? You don’t need to go to the gym to get this kind of exercise into your day. This could be as simple as taking the stairs at work instead of the elevator. Get up and walk around the house, then do a few jumping jacks if you are feeling tired from sitting on the couch. You will be surprised by the change in your body, and this is why I enjoy exercising in the morning when I feel tired. After I am done, I definitely feel more awake.
-
Natural Caffeine
Sometimes when I’m going through my day, I just feel like I need a little pick me up from caffeine. New Emergen-C® Energy+ is a powder-packed formula with natural caffeine from green tea to focus your mind*; plus 7 B vitamins to fortify you and vitamin C for immune support.* I love that this product tastes delicious and is a source of natural caffeine.

Manage Your Time
Time management has become a much more difficult game for me since I started blogging. Recently I have felt so drained between work, home commitments, community events, and then keeping up with my blog (which I don’t think most people realize how much work that is). I created myself a calendar with reminders on my phone in order to schedule my time. I have my entire day scheduled down to blog time, cooking dinner, cleaning, reading with my kids, and spending time with my significant other. For some people this may be silly, but it really helps me keep focused and even makes me feel less tired because I have limits and I know what’s coming next. I also have a day planner that I put all of my events into and use to create lists of things that I need to do. These two items really help me when I’m on the go. Sometimes with my active lifestyle, grabbing a coffee when I need a pick me up isn’t that easy. Emergen-C® Energy+ comes in portable packets that you can easily stash in your pocket or bag. It’s an anytime, anywhere product for your energy and immune support needs.*

Get Your Zzzzs
We all have been told time and time again how important it is to get a good night’s sleep; however, many of us don’t really get enough sleep. With our busy lives, we end up staying awake later than we should, yet still getting up early each morning. In order to not create a sleep deficit, which can leave you more and more tired every day and lessen your productivity, you need to make sure you get a good night’s rest. How many hours you need varies by age, but the average is 7-8 hours for adults.

Know When to Say No, or Delegate
I know, I know…we want to be Superman, or Superwoman and do it all. However, this is taxing on our body and our mind. Sometimes, you just have to save a task for another day and prioritize what’s important. Realize that it’s ok to say no. If you are too tired to meet up with your friends after work for a drink, then take care of yourself and say no. Overtaxing your body will tax your immune system. If your partner, or child offers to help around the house, say yes and get things done faster, which means more rest for everyone. In fact, if you have kids, make sure they are giving you a helping hand with the chores! This goes for career people, as well. Your boss may not realize you have too much on your plate. It’s good to be honest and let someone know when you are overwhelmed; this way you are able to focus your best effort on work that really matters.
I actually was feeling so tired when I was on my vacation in New Orleans, that I popped into a Walgreens in the French Quarter on our way out for the evening to get myself some of the Blueberry-Acai Emergen-C® Energy+. After one packet in my water, I felt much more ready to stay out till midnight. Eh what can I say, I don’t really stay out too late haha. Emergen-C® Energy+, also comes in two more flavors Mango-Peach and Lemon-Lime, in case Blueberry-Acai isn’t your jam.
What is something that supports your energy levels with having an active lifestyle, or helps to increase your productivity to get tasks complete?
