So, living in Florida you would think I have been to Miami right? NOPE! I have lived in Orlando for about 15 years, yet this trip to South Beach was the first time there and I loved it! It was a bit of a short planned trip when I found out two girls I knew (Nubiana & Kat) were going for swim week! I pretty much invited myself along LOL, and then after meeting Rechael after the Gal Getaway conference, I asked her to come along with us. It was such a great group of us traveling together and everyone had such cute outfits! I packed so many adorable things (mostly from Tobi), so I wanted to do a round up so you could get some ideas for the summer and if you are headed off to Miami.

We left pretty early on a Saturday to get to Miami before lunch time! We had Swim Week shows starting that evening and wanted to have time to get ready, take photos, and explore a bit. We ended up attending a pop up event the first day where I got my hair done and we met a really sweet designer Rose Paulino! I wore this super cute and beach maxi from The Curvy Collective to the shows that evening and this dress is perfect for a cover up on South Beach as well.

Sunday morning we headed down to check out the pool and it was nice and quiet. It was too hot though and felt more like a jacuzzi. Then we headed over to the Clevelander and took some photos of our first outfit of the day and had lunch at a pretty yummy spot on Ocean Drive that had the biggest fishbowl drinks I had ever seen! Beware most of these places will not split your table’s check and they add in automatically a 20% gratuity. We had a mission too, which was to get photos for National Ice Cream Day, which we accomplished, but not without getting pretty sticky haha.

Sunday evening we had our biggest shows! We went to the Australian swim show, where I got to sit in a VIP cabana, which was pretty cool and had a good view of the runway, plus free champagne “Score”. Then we headed off to the Sports Illustrated swim show where we saw some pretty amazing ladies walking the cat walk. I wore an art deco outfit for the evening that felt very South Beach! We wanted to try and go out dancing that night, but ended up being too tired and went back to the hotel to get up for our early morning shoot.

Monday morning we wandered over to the tip of South Beach and had a picnic, which was so hot, but so cute!! I can’t wait to share all the details with you! This romper is adorable, but def don’t wear it somewhere you are going to get hot and sticky LOL.

Later that day, we went back to South Beach in order to have happy hour at South Pointe Tavern. This bar was so cute!! I couldn’t resist taking fun photos there and I had probably 3 of the Paloma drinks!! It’s kind of like a grapefruit margarita.

On our final day we first walked over to the beach and saw some of the colorful lifeguard stands. You don’t have to walk that far on South Beach to find a different one that may match what you are wearing! Then we walked around Wynwood to check out the colorful walls and street art. It was so hot, so we got popsicles at Paletas Morelia. I love the pineapple mint one dipped in the miguelito (spicy sugar). We found so many cute spots in Wynwood, which is a bit out of South Beach, you have to cross back over the bridge to get there. One of the spots is El Patio that you can eat and go for Latin dancing!
