Happy Saturday everyone!
When I visited my friend Rae in Ocala, we went to this adorable Pin Up/Vintage store called Jezebel’s. Most of what I am wearing in this post is from there. I love old school hollywood glamor, so entering this store was amazing and we definitely spent at least two hours there deciding what to take home with us. These Charles David nude pumps are 50% off right now making them less than $50 and they are an essential part of my wardrobe for work and play.
- Today is a fabulous day because I am going to my best friend Rae’s bridal shower. This is such an exciting event for me because this is the first wedding I have been a bridesmaid at and I am her maid of honor, which is such an important task. I’m really looking forward to playing the fun games which are a staple of most bridal showers and seeing what neat household items she will be gifted. Shhh…I got her a key finder tile, which was an inside joke between us because she is always losing her keys.
- Speaking of household items how cute are both of these Salt & Pepper shaker sets!! I bought this Pineapple set from Mod Cloth because I love anything pineapple and my decor is a blend of white and gold. These Owl shakers, from Target (Salt & Pepper), I bought for my best friend Leah as a birthday/house warming gift when she recently moved in next door!
- Spanish food is probably one of my top 3 favorite things to eat. I love tacos, fresh guacamole, and especially a well made margarita. Last week we ate at this chain called Chuy’s for the first time, since a location recently opened near us. This place was AH-mazing!!! I had the Taco & Enchilada combo with refried beans and rice. The tortillas are homemade and so are the purees for the margaritas. I had the frozen swirl of lime and strawberry and Mmmm it was so good. Plus on top of the great food it was very family friendly and we had an excellent waiter. My boyfriend, myself, and my kids definitely found a new favorite place.
- I’ve never been one for reality shows, but I found one that is just too amazing to pass up! I’ve said before that I’m an accountant, but not for what company. I work for a non-profit company that helps adults and children with disabilities. I absolutely love it there and love our clients. When I saw the preview for the show “Born This Way”, I just knew it was going to become one of my favorite shows. The show takes you into the lives of young people with down syndrome in LA. I feel so warm and fuzzy when I watch this show.
- For years I wore acrylic nails and I finally decided to give that up and take good care of my natural nails. The one item that I felt really helped me go from weak brittle nails to healthy strong nails is Nailtiques. I would paint this on my nails and then two days later remove it and repaint a new coat. After one week I would let my nails breathe for a day and I always keep my hands moisturized. My nails are now a medium length and don’t break that often.
- I love pineapples you all already know that haha!! When I came across this recipe recently for Pineapple Dole Whip I was in heaven. This homemade ice cream is so easy to make, light and fruity, and I could eat entirely too much of this stuff. Most people get this when they go to Disney at the Tiki Bar, so if you are a pineapple lover, or a Disney lover this recipe could be great for you!
