Wow I can’t believe that 2017 flew by so fast. I met so many great people over the course of the year and I learned many new things about myself, life, and true friendship. I wouldn’t say that 2017 was a breeze, but the struggle is what’s worth it. Balancing work, blogging, family, and friends is always a challenge, but hey I do like a challenge! I also ended 2017 with a bang because guess what babes…I’M ENGAGED!!! With everyone making New Years resolutions, I really had to sit down and think about mine. I didn’t want to make goals that would be hard to keep up with, or ones that were overly specific, I want to say at the end of 2018 that I met my goals. Therefore I have come up with three things I am going to strive for in 2018 and I want to share them with you. It’s time for a fresh start of a New Year 2018!
RESOLUTION 1: QUALITY OVER QUANTITY
This can apply to many facets in life. Yes, I am going to focus more on quality over quantity in my blog posts and social media because it’s a lot to keep up with, but also with events, family, and friends. I don’t have to be everywhere and say yes to everything, but I want to be there for the important things.
RESOLUTION 2: MORE FAMILY TIME
In the past few weeks my fiance (woohoo it feels good to say that) and I have been reading, The 5 Love Languages. I already read the book a long time ago, but he had never read it and since we are now getting married we thought it would be a great way to help us communicate better. I knew my love language was acts of service, but what I didn’t expect to find out that his is quality time. Therefore, in order to make sure I am filling his love tank and being a good partner, I am vowing to spend more time being present with him and my kids. Life is built on memories and I don’t want to let moments pass us by, plus my kids are only getting older every day and I don’t want to miss out on that.

RESOLUTION 3: TRAVEL MORE
Travel is the only thing that you buy, that makes your richer. This is something I definitely want to take advantage of. I am finally in a place in life where I can afford to travel sometimes, plus I am lucky enough to have extremely generous in-laws who take us on a family trip once a year, which this year is Italy. So even if it’s exploring the city I live in, near by cities, or planning scheduled weekend trips, I want to travel more with my friends and my fiance.
Speaking of traveling, how cute are these Pasha Sandals which will be coming along on all my travels this year. They are called jewelry for your feet, so they really jazz up any outfit and since they are small wedges they are very comfortable too! They make a great present if you missed anyone on your Christmas list, or if you have plans to travel during the year they are a great sandal that can be casual, or dressy, so you would only need to pack one pair of shoes!!
These sandals were gifted to me for me to review, but all opinions are my own and the shoes are extremely well made.
I hope you had a great 2017, but if you didn’t then I really hope coming up with some simple resolutions for 2018 will help you have the most fabulous year. What resolutions have you come up with so far?

I am in LOVE with the sparkly blue dress and black heels. That dress is gorgeous, and looks great on you! I love its modesty in the front with the high-neck, and the surprise with the scoop in the back!
I agree about travel – that is something we can buy that we get richer from, physically, culturally, emotionally.
This year will definitely be a great year!
