I am so happy it’s Thursday and so close to the weekend!! Once a week my boyfriend and I attempt to get out of the house, just the two of us, even if it’s just to eat dinner without the kids and enjoy a cocktail. I love dressing up for an evening out. It makes me feel girly and pretty! I don’t wear makeup throughout the week, since I’m just interacting mostly with my computer, so a date night out is a fun time for me to experiment with new looks.

On one of our last date nights, I wore this great blush swing dress. The fabric is so light and the cowl neck is such a great neckline for long pendant necklaces. Plus!!! This dress has pockets, which is such a win for me. What girl doesn’t love a dress with pockets?!? I paired it with a super cute pair of wedges that are blush and rose gold my fave colors. When I saw these wedges at Ross I just about swooned!! The earrings and necklace that I’m wearing are from one of my Rocksbox sets. This dress happened to be sold out, but I linked some similar swing dresses. I love a simply jersey swing/sheath dress because they look great on every body type and it’s such a great staple piece for any wardrobe. You can dress it up with heels, or wedges. You can create a boho look with some booties and a fun hat. Or, you can keep it casual with some flats, or sandals and low key jewelry…even wear it as a beach cover up. You will see me in blush on repeat…I think the color compliments all skin tones.
