We are head first back into the new school year; I’m grateful for the three day weekend that just passed! Whether you have children in school, are back to school yourself, or you just know someone that their school year started up, here are some great items that will take you out of summer and bring you stylishly into the new school term.

1. Backpack Purse – The essential back to school tote; except this isn’t Jansport. This stylish backpack will take you from the halls to an evening out. Having a leather backpack in this burgundy shade is a perfect autumn pop of color for back to school.

4. Denim – For back to school I think the best pair of denim to go with everything is a crisp dark pair of skinny jeans. These ones by Paige are nice and stretchy so that you are comfortable all day long.
5. Stud Earrings – A pair of similar diamond studs complete any outfit and are a simple earring to wear for every day.
6. Light Perfume – You don’t want to be making everyone cringe at work or school with a heavy perfume, therefore the Chloe Eau de Parfum is the perfect light scent to wear every day. It comes in this convenient pen spray to keep in your purse.
7. Nude Gloss – A nude gloss pairs with every outfit and skin tone. This intense butter gloss by Nyx has a great pigment and keeps your lips looking shiny and soft. Plus it’s under $6!!!
8. Neutral Polish – Whether you are someone with short nails, or long nails, I think a nude polish makes your nails look nice and neat. It not only goes with anything you wear but you can also get away a couple days longer if they start chipping because it’s so similar to your natural nail color. Sand Tropez by Essie is one of my favorites. Sometimes I pair it with Seche Vite for a glossy look and sometimes I use the Essie Matte top coat if I want a different look.
9. Day Planner – This weekly planner is so fun and bright filled with beautiful artwork, two pages of cute stickers, and important dates to remember. Whether you need a planner to keep your social schedule in order, to keep track of your assignments, or just to keep track of your busy life, this is one you will love!
10. Cozy Cardigan – This cardigan has become my favorite everyday item. I wear it to work, I wear it for errands, and I wear it at home. (Sidenote: I’m always cold.) It’s loose, soft, and has pockets!!! This sweater goes with everything and is a great classroom necessity.
