Happy Friday fashionistas!! I am currently soaking up the sun in the USVI Our flight to the Virgin Islands was canceled, which due to not being able to get another flight that whole trip was over. However, after some tequila and tacos at Roccos Tacos in Ft. Lauderdale (since we were stranded at that airport), we flipped a coin and found ourselves heading out to New Orleans. Therefore, we are currently about to head out for an airboat ride, but I wanted to share a bit of summertime with the fun outfit I put together before we left on our trip!
When I think of summer time, I think of bright colors! Lilly Pulitzer is the Queen of bright fun colors, the south, and summer vibes. I normally don’t wear prints like this, but this time of year is the perfect time to get away with being a bit more bold. Plus I used this really fun palette that I was gifted at the Makeup Show. This palette is by Senna Cosmetics and it has vibrant shades perfect for a fun summer look!
How adorable is this mural near my house! I am obsessed with flamingos, so I thought this was the perfect backdrop to pair with my colorful top! And this purse from Romwe was less than $11, gimme a hell yeah!! Even my glasses from Coastal Eyewear pair perfectly with this outfit. My style tip for wearing bright colorful patterns, is to pair the colorful item with something neutral. For summer, that would be something white! These distressed white denim shorts paired perfectly with my Lilly Pulitzer top and made it pop that much more.

FINANCIAL TIP
A great way to save money shopping for Lilly is to one, shop the clearance section (which only happens about twice a year) and two, if you are petite sized like myself, shop the kids section!! My tank top was on clearance for less than $30 and the shorts that my mom got me for Christmas were from the girls section on clearance. This is how she always saves buying Lilly.
